Former MLA Jagdev Singh Jassowal cremated

Former MLA Jagdev Singh Jassowal (80), who died here on Monday, was cremated on Tuesday.

Former MLA Jagdev Singh Jassowal (80), who died here on Monday, was cremated on Tuesday.

The culture patron’s funeral was attended by several writers, poets, educationists, industrialists and artists, among others. Maheshinder Singh Grewal, adviser to the Punjab chief minister; Iqbal Singh, former Puducherry Lt governor; and officers of the district administration were also present. The pyre was lit by Jassowal’s two sons.
