There were reports that Gora had joined the AAP in Fakarsar village near Giddarbaha during a public meeting by party’s state convener Sucha Singh Chottepur on Friday.

“I have not joined the AAP. Whenever I will feel the need to join some party, I will discuss it with my well- wishers. So, reports that I have joined the AAP are false. I was just passing by the village when some youth known to me said they wanted to click pictures with me on stage with Chottepur, for which I agreed, as it was not a big deal,” Gora said while talking to HT over phone.

However, sources said Gora had come to the spot where the AAP meeting was being held and volunteered to the join party. He apparently was presented an AAP robe after joining the party. However, some AAP members objected to the move.

“Gora was brought to the venue by locals where I was holding a meeting on Maghi Mela rally and volunteered to the join the AAP. He then got pictures clicked in AAP robe,” Chottepur told HT.

Gora had resigned from the post of the SGPC member in protest against against incident of holy book sacrilege in October last year.
