Police arrested four bouncers deputed for security at the marriage of cricketer Harbhjan Singh after they snatched cameras from mediapersons and threatened them outside the cricketer’s house at Chhoti Baradari here on Thursday night.
Babbal, Gurpreet, Navjot and Kuldeep have been booked under various sections of the IPC.
Mediapersons complained that they were covering the event when the four snatched their cameras. A bouncer even allegedly hit a mediaperson on the face with a plastic bottle. The bouncers also exchanged words with mediapersons following which the latter protested outside Harbhajan’s house. Later, Harbhajan apologised to mediapersons.
ADCP Amrik Singh Powar said the bouncers were in their custody and they were recording the statements of the mediapersons.
