According to a press release issued by the state public relations department, Harsimrat criticised the "politically motivated" report of the joint parliamentary committee giving a clean chit to the Prime Minister and finance minister in the 2G Spectrum scam without even "examining or investigating the whole case" on merit.

While addressing a gathering in Mansa district, Harsimrat accused the Congress-led UPA government of misusing the office of the CBI for its vested interests.

"Harsimrat said it was unfortunate that Prime Minister Manmohan Singh was befooling the nation at the behest of the most corrupt party, who right from the beginning has been shielding the corrupt and unscrupulous elements," reads the press release.

Harsimrat said, "The Prime Minister has betrayed the nation by these acts. The NDA will strongly protest and take up all these issues, including the coal mine allocation scam, in Parliament, and expose the dishonesty of the Congress."

Earlier, she laid the foundation stones of the water work projects amounting to Rs 10 crore in 10 villages of Mansa district. Mansa MLA Prem Mittal was also present on the occasion.
