Health dept issues advisory for prevention of dengue

The state health department conducted a meeting with the maintenance department of Christian Medical College and Hospital to discuss various measures for prevention of dengue and malaria on Friday.

The state health department conducted a meeting with the maintenance department of Christian Medical College and Hospital to discuss various measures for prevention of dengue and malaria on Friday.

District epidemiologist, Anil Verma and staff of maintenance department of CMCH, Ludhiana participated in the discussion, where they were asked to keep a check on coolers and containers in the area, keeping in view the coming season of dengue. "The various incharges of hostels have been informed that coolers should be dried atleast once every week and filled with fresh water," said Verma.

"Keep all containers covered, if placed in the open. Water in flower pots should be replaced every week as well," he added. Meanwhile, an advisory was also released by the health department.
