Helpline services for polls unveiled

The Haryana election department has provided telephone-, web- and SMS-based helpline facilities at the headquarters and at district level to facilitate voters during general elections.

The Haryana election department has provided telephone-, web- and SMS-based helpline facilities at the headquarters and at district level to facilitate voters during general elections.

Chief electoral officer Shrikant Walgad on Wednesday said touch screen-based helpline number service had also been made available in some districts.

He said information concerning elections like name in voters' list, serial number, address of polling station, etc could be obtained through these helpline services.

The helpline facility has been made available on telephone number 1950 and 1800-180-2047 in all districts.

The voters can also get information by sending voter id card number by SMS on mobile number 9215156503. Apart from this, information about vote could also be obtained from website www.ceoharyana.nic.in.
