Sena alleged that IMA was supporting the doctors who instead of performing their duties according to norms were indulged in duping the patients.

Sena president Praveen Dang said, “Many doctors are making money in the name of costly medicines and taking commission from the suppliers. They don't consider life of poor patient important and stop treatment in between if patients fail to pay the hefty fee.”

He quoted out many incidents, where patient died either of poor treatment or because their treatment were stopped in between, lacking money.

He added that any doctor or administrative body could examine these cases and he would leave his protest campaign if doctors were found innocent.

“IMA should step in favour of the patients and should take action against the doctors for not performing their duties properly or fleecing the poor patients, instead of coming in support of these doctors,” he claimed.
