Addressing mediapersons here, Bajwa said, "In the newly created districts, the posts of district presidents are lying vacant. While in other districts, where factionalism is rampant and the Congress has not been able to perform well because of it, effective district heads would be appointed."

"I am going to each district to assess the ground situation. After completing my visit to all the districts, we will finalise the next strategy to revive the Congress in the state," he added.

Bajwa also discussed the plans for the Congress rally scheduled to be held in Jalandhar on April 14.

Bajwa has reportedly deputed his younger brother and Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee general secretary Fateh Jang Singh Bajwa and former Beas MLA Jasbir Singh Gill as observers to look into the preparations for the rally.
