Addressing a press conference, Hooda distributed a question paper having 20 posers of 5 marks each and asked the BJP government to answer his queries in 15 days. “Five marks each will be given for truthfulness and cleanliness,” he quipped.

Accusing the Manohar Lal Khattar government of not fulfilling its poll promises, the former chief minister said that despite promising to implement the report of the Swaminathan Commission immediately after the government formation, the party had done nothing to support the farmers.

Questioning the BJP’s resolve to root out graft, the former chief minister said that he would like to know as to why paddy growers were being paid Rs 1,200 per quintal for paddy procurement whereas the actual minimum support price (MSP) was Rs 1,450 per quintal. “Who is pocketing the balance of Rs 250 per quintal?,’’ he asked.

He lambasted the BJP for unable to control the rising prices of essential commodities including pulses.
