Interacting with the mediapersons after submitting the memorandum, Sharma said that speaker's remarks were not only unparliamentary but also unethical. "It has also shown Haryana in bad light in the country as it is unbecoming to a speaker to utter such words,"he said.

Sharma also said that if speaker was so interested in making political statements, he should first resign from the post and get into active politics. The BJP delegation included BJP legislators' leader in assembly Anil Vij, former MP Ratan Lal Kataria and former ministers Ramesh Kaushik, Rajkumar Saini and Narender Sharma.

Sharma, who recently said that BJP was a "rubber shoe"that fitted every foot, had also reiterated it and later also described the BJP as an opportunist party, changing colours like a "garden lizard". Hehad said that he stood by his words.
