Hindustan Student Association's (HSA) protest entered the fifth day with students still sitting outside vice-chancellor office on Friday. The student body's campus president Neeraj Kharab has been sitting on a hunger strike since September 16.

The student group has been demanding the rollback of hike in hostel fee and a fixed examination fee of Rs 500. They have also been demanding allotment of PU's sports hostel to girl students, who they claimed were facing an acute shortage of accommodation on the campus.
