The district police booked three persons in a dowry harassment case here on Sunday. The victim has been identified as Paramjit Kaur, a resident of Rangheri village here.
The police have registered a case against victim's husband Sukhpreet Singh, her mother-in-law Balbir Kaur, residents of Bhattia Khurd (Sangrur) and Inderjit Kaur of Dhuri (Sangrur) under sections 406, 498, 120-B of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). On August 19, the victim had filed a complaint in the district police station that her in-laws were harassing her to bring dowry.
