The Aam Aadmi Party activists from Banga constituency opposed the elevation of Harjot Kaur as the party candidate.
They activists led a march from grain market Banga to Khatkar Kalan in protest of the same.
The circle in-charge of AAP (Banga), Harpreet Rampur, said that AAP has given ticket to Harjot Kaur in haste despite the fact that she is just a novice in the political circle.
“She joined the party in May and was given tickets sidelining deserving activists,” said Balwant Singh, AAP farmer wing in-charge from Banga.
Blaming Arvind Kejriwal, Sanjay Singh and Durgesh Pathak for ignoring hard-working party cadre over money spinners, the AAP leaders demanded t cancellation of ticket allotted to Harjot.
She has been living in the Philippines and has not done anything valuable for the party in past, said the activists.
We have been working hard to solidify prospects of the party in upcoming elections since its inception but party leadership have ignored all this by giving the ticket to non-deserving, said Balwant Singh.

We will oppose all such moves and an independent candidate will be fielded against her if the party fails to roll back Harjot’s candidature, charged Balwant Singh.
“We will not work for the party in future,” warned Balwant Singh.
