After exchanging words on the issue of Jaitley’s house, the BJP candidate has again taken a dig at Capt Amarinder by terming him a ‘fish out of water’ when it comes to civilised and issue-based election.

Hitting back, Capt Amarinder who has stuck to an aggressive tone and tenor asked Jaitley to take permission from BJP’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi before promising to open a trade route between Amritsar and Lahore.

Taking a dig at Capt Amarinder Singh through his campaign diary, Jaitley wrote, “Captain sahib has an unbeatable capacity to singularly lower the level of political discourse. In a civilised issue-based election, he is a fish out of water. My advice to all my friends, supporters and well-wishers in Amritsar is that we must fight this election with elements of civility, dignity and keep it issue based.”

“An increasing desire is being witnessed in Amritsar for Narendra Modi to be the next prime minister. I can also smell the positive attitude of the people towards me and the issues which we are raising. We must not deviate from this agenda,” the BJP candidate wrote.
