General secretary of the local unit of the party, Sutender Gaur, said that the workers were demoralised over party's unconcern towards their demand of replacing the candidate.

He said that 27 of the 32 ticket-seekers were on protest. The new candidate will be decided in a meeting of executive members here on
March 8.

Coming heavily on the AAP leadership, Gaur said that Balwinder Kaur's nomination was an example of nepotism her husband Gurnam Singh is
close to AAP supreme Arvind Kejriwal.

He said that party's working committee member Balbir Singh, who was sent here to meet the protesting workers, had accepted that their
demand was genuine, but maintained that it was not the right time to revolt.

Gaur described the nomination of Balwinder Kaur as the 'dictatorial' decision of Kejriwal.
