Kanhaiya wants judicial probe into killing of SIMI activists in Bhopal

Former Jawaharlal Nehru University students’ union president Kanhaiya Kumar on Tuesday demanded a judicial probe into killing of eight Student Islamic Movement of India (SIMI) members in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, hours after they allegedly escaped from a high-security jail.

Kumar also criticised defence minister Manohar Parrikar for giving credit to the RSS teachings for surgical strikes across the Line of Control. He said the armymen were laying down their lives while Prime Minister Narendra Modi was patting his own back

Kumar said someone from the RSS should come forward and tell us about people from the Sangh who have sacrificed their lives for the country.

On upcoming Punjab polls, Kumar said the BJP and its alliance partner SAD will seek votes in the name of various projects, including ‘Skill India, Digital India and more, but it is important not to fall into the trap.
