Kapurthala DC assures of timely services to public

Kapurthala deputy commissioner Alaknanda Dayal today held a sangat darshan programme along with all tehsil officials at Begowal so as to ensure that services offered by revenue department reach people within stipulated time.

Kapurthala deputy commissioner Alaknanda Dayal on Friday held a sangat darshan programme along with all tehsil officials at Begowal so as to ensure that services offered by revenue department reach people within stipulated time.

During the function, organised on the premises of Sant Baba Prem Singh Karamsar Khalsa College, 91 mutation records were registered.

"This is an attempt to reduce unnecessary delays. We have chalked out a programme to reach out to people area-wise on specified dates, where they can approach us to get their work done immediately without any inconvenience," she said

Out of 91 mutations done on Friday, seven related to parental transfers, five to change in ownerships and rest related to sale deeds, she revealed.

A few days back, a similar programme was organised at Kanjali wetland where 101 mutations were registered, she further added.

"Besides timely services to people, department employees should also remain up to date with their files," Dayal said.

The DC also heard civic problems faced by the area people and directed officials to come out with timely and propoer solutions to their problems.

SDM Bholath RP Singh, tehsildar Manjit Singh and other department officials were also present on the occasion.
