Sukhjinder Singh of Guria village in Purana Shalla police jurisdiction of Gurdaspur; Narinder Pal Singh of Improvement Trust Colony in Gurdaspur; and Surinder Singh of Kiri Afgana village in Sri Hargobindpur police jurisdiction of Batala are the men under arrest, senior superintendent of police Sukhwant Singh Gill has said.

An AK-47 rifle with a magazine and 20 cartridges; a US-made 0.38-bore Smith&Wesson revolver with five cartridges; and a 0.45-bore Brazil-made Taurus pistol with three cartridges are the weapons and ammunition seized. The arrests were based on intelligence inputs from the terrorist modules exposed earlier in Amritsar and Fatehgarh Sahib.

Terrorist leaders sitting abroad had given the three men now caught in Gurdaspur the target of killing the Shiv Sena (Bal Thackeray) leader in Pathankot to disturb Punjab's peace. The men were in a silver Ford Figo when police intercepted them. Their two motorcycles were also seized.

Police in Amritsar and Fatehgarh Sahib are helping with investigation to uncover the possible link between this module and the three unearthed recently.
