Qureshi developed a neurological disease causing paralysis in his body including both of his hands. However, with the help of medication he was able to change his life yet again and has now been able to perform stunts on wheelchair.

Born in Uttar Pradesh, Qureshi was pursuing his bachelor in arts when he developed the problem as a result he had to leave his education midway. “There was a time of acceptance at least a year after which I decided to start my life afresh. I did not allow my weakness to become permanent and gathered all courage to fight the odd” Qureshi explains with a confident smile on his face.

Qureshi is now a student of fine arts at Lovely Professional University, Jalandhar, where free education is provided to those suffering from disabilities.

Reminiscing about his acting role in the ‘Holiday’ movie, Qureshi said “there was a scene where people were shown sitting on wheel chair in which I acted. Later, Akshay Kumar met me and told that there is nothing as disability and everything is in the mind.”

Explaining about lack of facilities for differently-abled community in buses and trains, Qureshi said that successive governments have failed in providing some relief to the community who could not even ride on buses and trains without hassles.
