Kuldeep Bishnoi, 24 party men to be tried for damaging property as well

Already facing trial for rioting, Haryana Janhit Congress (HJC) president Kuldeep Bishnoi and former member parliament Dharam Pal Malik along with 23 party workers will now be tried for damaging property as well.

Already facing trial for rioting, Haryana Janhit Congress (HJC) president Kuldeep Bishnoi and former member parliament Dharam Pal Malik along with 23 party workers will now be tried for damaging property as well.

Judicial magistrate Sukhda Pritam on Wednesday framed the additional charge against Bishnoi and his 24 party men for damaging police barricades, accepting the plea of the UT police. The case will now come up for hearing on June 5.

As the court has already dropped charges of attempt to murder and voluntarily causing grievous hurt to deter public servant from his duty, now Bishnoi and his party men face trial for rioting, voluntarily causing hurt to deter public servant from his duty, assaulting public servant and damaging property.

Bishnoi and others were booked by the UT police in March 2010, after a rally took out by the party had turned violent. One of the accused, Balkar Singh, has been declared proclaimed offender.
