Labourer killed in building collapse

A labourer was killed while demolishing the unsafe building of the Government Senior Secondary School (Boys), Mahilpur, on Saturday. As per reports, a wall fell on Raj Kumar alias Raju (32), a resident of Bharowal village, when he was breaking down the building around 11am.

He was rushed to the Mahilpur Civil Hospital but was declared brought dead. Two other workers, Dheeraj and Satnam, also sustained minor injuries. Classes were in progress when the incident took place. On the complaint of the deceased's wife, the police have registered a case against the contractor under Section 304a (culpable homicide not amounting to murder) of the IPC.
