The deceased has been identified as Geeta Tiwari. Her husband Sunil Kumar came to know about the incident in the evening when he reached home from work. On being informed. division number 6 police reached the spot for investigation.

She was said to be depressed since the death of her newborn boy last year. Geeta was married seven years ago and it was last year when she conceived a child. After the baby's death, she was disturbed.

The police have filed the proceedings under Section 174 of the CrPC.

In another incident, 25-year-old Anju Rani hanged herself in Ansal Enclave, Jamalpur. In her three-page suicide note, she accused her neighbours of harassing her. She mentioned that people were suspecting her to be practising sorcery. However, her husband BB Sharma claimed that no one harassed her and that she was mentally disturbed, for which she was undergoing treatment.

It is worth mentioning here that on Sunday, two people had committed suicide. One was a government school teacher who had been suspecting her husband of having illicit relationship with some woman, and in the other case, a Class 12 student had committed suicide under exam stress.
