The Congress' stir to jam traffic across the state for two hours from noon to 2 pm failed to have any major impact on life in Malwa, as people were reportedly able to take alternate routes.
An alert administration also deployed cops to ensure that the protest had a limited impact.
The protest in Bathinda was mainly centered at two points, the Bathinda-Mansa railways over-bridge and the main road near the Bathinda-Chandigarh national highway near Rampura.
Former MLA Harmander Jassi blocked the railway over-bridge, but reportedly allowed two ends to remain open for the public. Police was seen diverting traffic to the link roads.
Factionalism to the fore in Moga
