The police have booked a man for raping a woman after she lodged an FIR at Basti Jodhewal police station. The accused, Amit Kumar of Sanyas Nagar, made a lewd video of his tenant's wife when she was bathing. He started blackmailing her that he will post the video on social networking sites and raped her repeatedly.
The woman (28), resident of Bajran Vihar, Bashi Jodhewal, got pregnant and narrated the whole incident to her husband. Her husband made a complaint to the father of the accused, the landlord. Instead of listening to his pleas, the landlord along with his sons and two other accomplices assaulted him.
The accused's father Phool chand, his brother Praveen Kumar and two unidentified accomplices have also been booked for trespassing and assaulting.
In her complaint, the woman alleged that her husband is a medical practitioner. He had availed a shop from Phool Chand, where he runs his practice. She alleged that on November 15, 2013, Amit made lewd video of her when she was bathing, without her knowledge. He then started blackmailing her that he will post the video online.
ASI Sukhdev Singh, who is investigating the matter, said the police have launched a manhunt for the arrest of the accused.
