Man gets life term for killing his wife
A local court here has awarded life imprisonment to a man for burning to death his wife in March 2011. The Court of Additional District and Sessions Judge Gurjant Singh yesterday sentenced Paramjit Singh, a resident of Gholia Khurd under Nihal Singh Wala Police station, for killing his wife on March 26, 2011.

A local court here has awarded life imprisonment to a man for burning to death his wife in March 2011.
The Court of Additional District and Sessions Judge Gurjant Singh yesterday sentenced Paramjit Singh, a resident of Gholia Khurd under Nihal Singh Wala Police station, for killing his wife on March 26, 2011.
According to the prosecution, Paramjit had earlier lodged a report with the police that his wife Karamjit Kaur had committed suicide by burning herself in the house on March 26, 2011.
However, later on police investigation revealed that the complainant Paramjit Singh had killed his wife by burning her.
