A man was shot dead at the local Ghanupur Kale area by three men on Saturday, after an argument over parking a motorcycle in the locality on Friday.

The victim, Harjinder Singh’s wife, Sukhwinder Kaur, in her complaint to the police said: "We had just returned from Baba Budha Sahib on Saturday and were walking on the street, when three men fired at my husband. He died on the spot."

The city police have registered a case under Section 302 (murder) and the Arms Act at the local Chheharta police station. The three accused have been identified as Gurdip Singh, Manjit Singh and Bottu.
Chheharta police station sho inspector Sushil Sharma, said, "A dispute over parking led to the murder. Raids are on."
