Municipal Corporation to hold meetings on civic issues in Ludhiana

MC additional commissioner Ghanshyam Thori said a meeting on water will be conducted with the officials of operations and maintenance cell (O&M) of the MC, water supply and sanitation department, Punjab water supply and sewerage board, Ludhiana Improvement Trust (LIT) and Greater Ludhiana Area Development Authority (GLADA).

The officials of town planning department, LIT, GLADA and architect association will participate in the meeting on city planning.

The MC officials will also attend a meeting on governance. The horticulture wing of the civic body and the forest department will participate in the meeting on ecology parks and recreation.

The officials of Punjab Pollution Control Board (PPCB), O&M cell and the health department will attend a meeting on environment, sanitation and public health.

In this week, discussions on various issues like water supply, sanitation, power, solid waste management involving various stakeholders will be held.

It has been learnt that the team will cover 1 lakh questionnaire through massive ward level meetings, competitions in school/colleges, online feedback, events at malls, and marathons in coming days.
