The revenue deputy secretary in an official communication to Jalandhar divisional commissioner in July said that while posts of naib tehsildar, clerk, peon and sweeper-cum-gardener created at the sub-tehsil should be continued, the authorities concerned have failed in this task.

Mehatpur naib tehsildar Narinderjit Singh said he had not received salary for August, 2012, to July, 2013, while the clerk posted here was receiving salary from Nakodar.

Shahkot MLA and transport minister Ajit Singh Kohar said he would look into the matter.
