So far, no inquiry has been initiated in the absence of complaint with the officials concerned.
While UT SSP Sukhchain Singh Gill told HT that the complaint filed by city-based advocate Terminder Singh on behalf of the athlete had been sent to the UT cyber cell, those from the cell said they haven't received any complaint so far.
The complaint in the matter had been filed about a week back at the public window at police headquarters, however its fate remains unknown.

Meanwhile, sources in the UT police said the complaint had not been traced down and was lost somewhere in the police headquarters.
Speaking to HT on Tuesday, Gill said, "The complaint has been sent to the cyber crime cell on Monday evening and they should be receiving it soon."

The complaint further mentioned that the unidentified accused were aware of the fact that the complainant was a renowned personality, and they in a well-planned criminal conspiracy created the website in order to use Milkha's name to achieve financial gains and benefits for themselves. By doing so, they have committed the offence of cheating and creating fake website and Facebook account of the complainant.
