Ministerial Services Union end pen-down strike

Members of the Punjab State Ministerial Services Union has finally decided to end their 11-day long pen-down strike on Thursday after a meeting was fixed with chief minister Parkash Singh Badal on Friday in Chandigarh.

Members of the Punjab State Ministerial Services Union has finally decided to end their 11-day long pen-down strike on Thursday after a meeting was fixed with chief minister Parkash Singh Badal on Friday in Chandigarh.

The union members had started their strike on February 24 , demanding increase in pay scale and registration of a case against circle education officer, Jalandhar.

Services in the administrative complex had been totally paralyzed.

Sukhjeet Singh president of the ministerial services union, Jalandhar said they will suspend the strike from Friday. However, he said they will go to strike again and would hold protest against government on March 10 and 11 if CM fails to fulfill their demands.
