Authorities of the central jail here have recovered a mobile phone and a sim card from a jail inmate. Based on a complaint by jail authorities, a case under the prisons act has been registered against convict Kuljit Singh, a resident of Parjian Kalan in Nakodar in Jalandhar. The convict is under 10-year imprisonment under the NDPS act after poppy husk was recovered from. The mobile phone along with a charger and the sim card was recovered during a routine checking in the jail. It was kept in a wooden soap case.
