Around 40 passengers of a private bus had a narrow escape when it skidded off the road while crossing another bus coming from opposite direction on Dadahu-Haripurdhar road, about 60 km from here.

Two tyres of the bus went off the road and it was dangling precariously, making the evacuation of passengers a challenge as a minor load at the wrong place could have resulted in a major mishap. The passengers were evacuated through the emergency exit.

The narrow and congested roads in Sangrah sub-division are prone to mishaps. In two mishaps involving private buses in the sub-division this year, 41 people were killed.
