As per the meeting agenda that was circulated to all the 65 councillors, the House will clear Rs 10-crore budget for buying machinery for cleanliness in the city. Other than this, development works in various wards of the city will also be given approval.

However, the House is unlikely to give nod to any major project, as there is paucity of funds that is giving tough time to the municipal corporation. The corporation is yet to receive funds from the state government despite having sent numerous reminders to its request for Rs 100-crore aid.

Municipal corporation commissioner Bhupinder Singh said, "There are few important things on the agenda. Apart from the property tax and the water meter policy, we will also seek approval for the advertisement policy." Other than this a budget will be allocated for buying machinery and development works in various wards of the city, he added. On a question, the commissioner said that there was no major project that would be presented before the House.
