First-time member of Parliament from Sirsa, Ashok Tanwar, who took over as president of Haryana Pradesh Congress Committee on Friday, said that his experience in Parliament was disappointing.
Interacting with newspersons, Tanwar who was accompanied by chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda, AICC general secretary and party incharge for Haryana affairs Shakeel Ahmed, former HPCC president Phool Chand Mullana, said that it was disappointing to see frequent
disruptions and unsavory incidents in the Parliament.
To the question pertaining to the new responsibility as HPCC president, he agreed that it was a challenging responsibility and said that he would nonetheless ensure that the party fared better than 2004 and 2009 elections. On the bickering in the party, he refused to acknowledge any, and at the same time said differences would be addressed through dialogue and discussion.
On the question of challenge from the BJP or Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), he said the BJP had exposed itself twice in the past and the AAP was a non-entity in Haryana. Tanwar seconded Hooda when the latter said that there were 'khaas aadami'[ (special people) in AAP while Congress actually was a party of 'aam aadami' (common man).
On the question of one person one post, he said that he would abide by the instructions of the high command in the context and that he had never expected or asked for any post in the party and just sought to work for it. On the issue of formation of HPCC's new team, he said it would be done soon.

{{/usCountry}}When asked about his tenure as Sirsa MP, he held that he was happy that the area which had been neglected since decades, saw development projects worth thousands of crores of rupees coming.
