Earlier the green panel had directed the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) on Tuesday to provide CNG-fitted buses to the Himachal Pradesh Transport Corporation (HRTC) for the Rohtang region, said Himachal Pradesh senior additional advocate general at New Delhi Suryanarayan Singh.

DMRC had stated that though they had shortage of buses, but for trial basis, they could provide two buses to Himachal Pradesh at the nominal rate of Rs 70,000 per vehicle for 7 days, which amounts to Rs 10,000 per day per vehicle. For a month of trial, it will be Rs 3 lakh and not 40 lakh as projected by the state.
