Enthusiasm of the industrialists is evident from the fact that the MC has received a long list of businessmen, who wish to take care of these parks and roundabouts. All these 16 roundabouts would be allotted to businessmen on February 21, during the MC House meeting.

The roundabouts would be maintained by these businesses, for five years, under "Mission Green project" of the MC. In a recent meeting of the finance and contract committee (F&CC), a list of 16 industrialists that was forwarded by the Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) was presented.

It also came to the light of the MC officials that there was enthusiasm among businessmen to maintain these roundabouts, as a result it was decided that an advertisement would be published and applications would be invited again and scrutinised, after which these roundabouts squares would be allotted.

MC has decided to hand over these roundabouts to the industrialists after it failed to take care of them on its own. Funding and infrastructure required for the upkeep of the roundabouts was not present with the MC.

Landscaping, maintenance of the lights, fountains, cleanliness and the supervisory staff would be taken care of by the companies. Also, no hoarding would be allowed to be installed on these roundabouts, to avoid distraction of commuters.
