As per principal Vijay Kumar Goyal, “No other government college in the state has the online admission process in place. The credit for starting online admissions goes to Satveer Singh, who took the charge of the project and worked for months on it. In future, he will be in-charge for the online processes.”

Asked if students from rural area faced any difficulty in adapting to this new process, he said, “Our volunteers have been seated on nearly 50 computers to facilitate new admissions and all possible efforts are being made to guide students. No fee is being charged for online registration.”

Satveer Singh, in-charge of online admissions, said, “The college website www. grcb.ac.in is available in two languages: Punjabi and English. The online admissions will generate complete records of students from day one of the session in electronic form, which will be free of any mistakes.”

He said the online admissions will make the process transparent. “The students will be able to view the rank list for all the classes. The list of admitted students will be available online on the college website along with percentage and rank of students,” he said, adding that, “The students will be informed through SMS about the date and time of the interview for original certificate verification. This will save their time and money.”
