All clearances required for building new colonies in the state would be issued online to developers from October 15.
Deputy chief minister Sukhbir Singh Badal on Thursday stated this here, while addressing real-estate developers who had gathered to honour him for coming up with the policy for regularising illegal colonies in state. Punjab Urban Planning and Development Authority (PUDA) will develop a portal before the first week of October for online clearances such as change of land use (CLU) and map certification. "The certifications will be issued online within a month of application," said the deputy CM.
Calling upon real-estate developers and property dealers to apply before the deadline to get colonies regularised, Sukhbir asked them not to trust the Pradesh Congress "propaganda" against the offer. "Our aim is to streamline urbanisation, as the master plans for corporation cities such as Amritsar, Ludhiana and Jalandhar is prepared, and these cities will witness unparalleled development in the next three years," said Sukhbir.
Commenting on economic disorder in the country, he blamed the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government at the Centre for it. "The only option left is to oust the Congress from the power at the Centre," he said. Reacting to a media report about the RBI's declaring Punjab most suitable investment destination in the country, Sukhbir said the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) survey was a proof of the pace of development in Punjab.
Asked about the income tax department raids on an industrial house of Ludhiana, Sukhbir said that the union government was using the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), income tax department, directorate of revenue intelligence and other central agencies as personal forces to coerce opponents.
