Chahal said, “It is tough for the Punjabi Community to understand that why is the Punjab government so keen to cash in on people’s love of gambling through online lottery without going into the long term impacts when the youth of Punjab will be involved in this online gambling. Online lottery may be a fund raising project for the government, but it is ultimately a waste of time and resources."

“The Punjabi youth is already caught in a web of drug-addiction, which is frequently being smuggled through the Indo-Pak border and in view of no job opportunities for them, a lot of consequences are involved with the start of online lottery and horse race gambling. To become rich overnight, the youth is again likely to take to crimes. This is disgraceful."
