PHC team inspects fruit, vegetable vendors

A team from the Primary Health Centre Sahnewal inspected fruit and vegetable vendors in Sherpur and Dhandhari areas on Tuesday. Dr Bhupinder Singh said as monsoons were here , people could fall ill due to cut or stale fruits. The team inspected as well as destroyed cut or rotten fruits and vegetables on the spot.

A health awareness camp was also organised at Muslim Colony, Sherpur and Dhandhari Khurd, in which people were made aware of diseases common during the rainy season and precautionary methods for avoiding them. The team also distributed chlorine tablets and awareness pamphlets to people.
