Giving this information here on Tuesday, SSP Mandeep Singh Sidhu said, "The drive has been launched as the number of vehicles with pressure horns was increasing, leading to greater noise pollution."

He said that strict action would be taken against the people for misusing red-beacon and other violations of traffic rules.
