Police make first arrest in Hansi triple murder case

Police on Thursday have arrested one person in the triple murder case at Sekhpura village on March 13. To maintain law and order in the village, a police-post also opened on Wednesday late night.

Police on Thursday have arrested one person in the triple murder case at Sekhpura village on March 13. To maintain law and order in the village, a police-post also opened on Wednesday late night.

Speaking to HT, additional superintendent of police (ASP) Rajesh Kumar said, “Our five teams are working round-the-clock to arrest the accused. We have arrested one accused identified as Ramphal Singh of Sekhpura village.”

He added: “Police have rounded up more than 10 persons and questioning is going on to ascertain the whereabouts of the rest of accused. Teams will arrest the rest of accused very soon.”

“We have already one company of paramilitary force and one platoon of Haryana police to maintain law and order. A police-post has also been opened in the village to keep a strict vigil on the situation,” ASP added.

On Monday, 23 persons, including a deputy superintendent of police (DSP) Bhagwan Dass of Hisar (headquarters) who is also a resident of the same village, was booked under murder and attempt to murder charges after some people opened fire and killed three persons — Ram Kumar, Mukesh and a BSF jawan Pradeep Kumar.

The police have so far not registered any case against him for attempting suicide.
