PPP has gone defunct: Harsimrat Badal

Bathinda MP and party candidate from the parliamentary constituency Harsimrat Kaur Badal, on Monday, said the People's Party of Punjab (PPP) has lost its identity and virtually become defunct as its chief Manpreet Singh Badal has decided to contest the parliamentary election on the Congress symbol 'hand'.

Bathinda MP and party candidate from the parliamentary constituency Harsimrat Kaur Badal, on Monday, said the People's Party of Punjab (PPP) has lost its identity and virtually become defunct as its chief Manpreet Singh Badal has decided to contest the parliamentary election on the Congress symbol 'hand'.

While addressing party gatherings in villages of Bathinda (rural) assembly constituency, she said that PPP had already put up posters outside its party headquarters in Bathinda in which the PPP chief's photograph appears along with the "hand" symbol of the Congress.


"It seems that the PPP leader had become so desperate that now he deserted his party symbol 'kite' and virtually made PPP a defunct outfit, which was now completely dependent on the Congress," she said.
