Union minister of state for external affairs Preneet Kaur today expressed concern over the issue of doing away with the quota of seats earmarked for Punjab students in various training courses by the management of Thapar University, Patiala.

"I sympathise with the students and shall request the concerned parties - the HRD ministry, Thapar University management and also the Punjab government to find an appropriate solution to address the issue," she assured a delegation of concerned citizens of Patiala who called on her here today.
