The representatives of 1,200 dam oustees who were displaced during the making of the Ranjit Sagar dam, met principal secertary (Irrigation) Sarvesh kaushal and apprised him their problems on Wednesday.
Children Protection and development department chairman Swaran Salaria who is persuading the case of these families with chief minister (CM) Parkash Singh Badal informed Kaushal about the problems of these families.
Thakur Kartar Singh, one of the representative of dam oustees claimed that these families were assured jobs but were yet to get them.
Talking to the represntatives, Kaushal said CM was serious about the problems and the delay was being caused as the land was shared by Punjab, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir. He assured that the matter would be solved in coming three months.
