There is a new twist in the suicide case of government school principal Ranjit Singh. The kin of the victim suspect the leaking of board question paper could have led to the suicide.
According to the kin of Ranjit Singh, they have found a piece of paper from the belongings of the deceased, in which some questions that appeared in the English question paper of Class 12 were written. Later, when they cross-checked it from the school record, they found that it was in the handwriting of clerk Parminder Kaur, one of the accused of abetting the suicide.
Paramvir Singh, son of the deceased, said a roll number was also written on a piece of paper. "We have checked and found that the questions that were written on the piece of paper appeared in the question paper," said Paramvir.
"It is possible that my father caught Parminder Kaur helping students and was about to take action against her, so she, along with her accomplices, harassed his father so much that he committed suicide by jumping into the canal," he added.
The family has handed over the piece of paper to the Malaud police. The family suspect the accused could harm them. The family has also filed another complaint with the police about their safety.

Malaud SHO Harjinder Singh said the police had already arrested accused Happy Sattu and launched a manhunt for others. He said Parminder Kaur had applied for bail in the local court, but her plea was dismissed. Paramvir also alleged police inaction.
