Besides, service charges would be capped at Rs 20,000 for (on-the-spot) appointments for transactions exceeding Rs 1 crore and for each normal appointment Rs 10 would be charged, an official spokesman said, adding that a fully transparent deed registration system had been launched in the state on December 25, 2014.

Pilot projects for a new deed registration system have been introduced in Kurukshretra, Yamuna Nagar, Rewari, Rohtak, Jind, Kaithal, Karnal and Faridabad to make the process time saving and people friendly.

According to the spokesman, the presence of the sub-registrar in the office would be made mandatory from 9 am to 2 pm. He said that help-desks would handle queries regarding stamp duty, collector rates and preparation of deeds.

Under the procedural workflow of deed registration, for all types of deeds (except GPA, SPA and will) applicants can visit the e-disha kendra after preparing the deed for taking an appointment with sub-registrar.
