ASHA workers were protesting inside the civil hospital premises and were rounded as the police suspected that they might block the Bathinda-Mansa road in front of the hospital.

The workers have been staging a protest demanding minimum wages and fixation of salary to them instead of paying commission for their work. The protesters were taken to Thermal police station.

The RMPs, who were protesting under the banner of the RMP Association, were rounded and released later.

State president of the association Ramesh Kumar Bali said that the RMPs, who have got registrations from other states, should be allowed to practice in villages of the state .
