PRTC managing director DPS Kharbanda claimed that the corporation had managed to reach the profit figure after overcoming accumulated loss of Rs 2.60 crore since April.

Presenting the facts before transport minister Ajit Singh Kohar during the monthly review meeting on Tuesday, Kharbanda said that in the starting of financial year, all depots had been given targets and directed to make all buses parked at different depot workshops roadworthy.

Kharbanda said that as many as 100 new buses will be introduced in 2013, out of which 15 buses will be operated on different routes every month in the coming year.

Meanwhile, transport minister Kohar gave his nod to make depots across the state high-tech by introducing integrated depot management system for better coordination.
