Gurdas Badal, younger brother of Punjab chief minister Parkash Singh Badal, was shifted to Fortis Hospital, SAS Nagar on Saturday night after he reported of blood clots in cough.

His son and Congress leader Manpreet Singh Badal said, “Gurdas Badal is stable and well on his way to recovery. The family thanks all for their concern and good wishes.”

On Saturday evening, he was rushed to a private hospital in Bathinda where his condition was said to be stable after which he was shifted to SAS Nagar.
Dr Rajesh Jindal of Jindal Heart Institute had said on Saturday, Gurdas had blood clots in cough, which is the case with those taking regular medication for diabetes.
